Greetings and thank you for visiting our new blog on our new website! This website is a portal to our many resources and will keep visitors up-to-date on our events and activities. We hope you find it simple to navigate and full of useful information. We would like to take this chance to thank Gary Iverson for constructing this custom-built website after completion of his summer 2012 internship. Because of his hard work, this site is optimized for screens of all sizes, easy for visitors to navigate, easy for staff to maintain, and most importantly conveys a clear picture of what the Museum is all about. Please take a look through the pages and discover all the resources that are available- our world class research library and archives; the free field trips, loan kits, and events brought to you by our educators; and award-winning exhibitions on diverse topics such as Mexican popular art, Irish immigration, and Asian Indian immigration. It is now easier than ever to follow the Museum on any number of social media and content sharing sites such as History Pin, Flickr, Facebook, and YouTube. Also keep an eye out for opportunities to participate, such as helping us gather stories for archival projects or exhibits, volunteering your time, or becoming a member to keep this magnificent place functioning. This blog will be a new opportunity for us to share behind-the-scenes insight. Staff, interns, and volunteers will all be sharing reflections and news here, and we look forward to hearing from you in the comments.
