Join the Museum and our community partners, Bloomington Public Library and Normal Public Library, at the Franklin Park Bookmobile Stop for an afternoon of fun as we celebrate National Pride Month and the LGBTQ+ community.
Members from the local PFLAG chapter and the Prairie Pride Coalition will be on hand to provide support and information.
The libraries will offer crafts for children and teens, a story time, and more.
The McLean County Museum of History will provide information about activist and politician Harvey Milk and the Rainbow Pride Flag. Attendees will have the opportunity to create their own Pride flag.
Local bookstore Bobzbay will offer fun, games, and books for sale.
ISU Community Engagement will attend with its therapy dog, Sage.
Bloomington Police Community Engagement will also be present in a show of support.
Bring chairs or a blanket and plan to purchase a delicious lunch from Bay Area Mexicana (a local food truck), or pack a picnic and supplies to round out this fun afternoon!
There is no registration process for this free event! Crafts will be available while supplies last on a first-come, first-served basis.
