Barbara Egger married the much older John Brown Lennon of Bloomington, a major figure in American Labor History. He was the National Treasurer of the American Federation of Labor under Samuel Gompers and the General Secretary of the Journeyman Tailors Union. Barbara Egger Lennon lived until age 98 and died in 1983.
